All vehicles are at risk of hydroplaning under the right circumstances. There are ways that you can avoid hydroplaning. This is a dangerous situation. We here at Savage Kia want to make sure that you are prepared so that you can stay safe while you are on the road, even in the most wet conditions.

If you see that there is an accumulation of water up ahead, you should slow your vehicle down as much as possible. Don't hit your brakes immediately. This could cause an accident involving people that are driving behind you. Slow down and let go of the accelerator completely when your tires hit the water.
Make sure that you keep a safe set of high-quality tires on your vehicle. Keep an eye on the tread to make sure you have a good handle on the road beneath you. You should also have your tires rotated frequently and balanced.
