How to Control Pet Hair in Your Vehicle

Bring your pets along for an adventure in your car without worrying about pet hair. While laying a dedicated pet pad or towel over your seats can help to ward off the worst of it, some fur inevitably gets trapped in the weave of your upholstery or the crevices between seats anyway. You can control the pet hair with a few tricks and make the most out of the time you spend with your pet.

Mix a spoonful or two of fabric softener into a spray bottle of water and use this to spritz lightly on your upholstery before wiping across the surface in one direction. The pet hair should pill up in clumps that will be easier to remove, and the fabric softener will leave a bonus clean scent behind.

Make an impromptu lint roller by taking a piece of packing tape and rolling it around your hand, sticky side out. Then use your hand to roll along the upholstery, capturing hairs on the sticky surface.
